    Diversity and Inclusion: Progressive Practices for HR Leaders

    Diversity and inclusion has proven to be essential in successful operational growth for organizations of all sizes and in today’s global environment, HR professionals are the leaders in aligning culture competency with strategic business goals.  Collaborating with executive leadership, HR Diversity Champions can proactively guide and shape a D&I infrastructure focused on initiatives and processes in the areas of recruiting, training and development, and employee engagement. In our discussion I will share best practices and programs that can kick start your diversity initiatives and make your organization more competitive in the marketplace today.
    Kelly Pallanti

    Kelly Pallanti is a seasoned Human Resource Consultant that has served in strategic leadership roles in multiple industries across the Midwest.  With a passion for people and connecting them with business goals, she has dedicated her career to advancing the role of HR to drive business growth and innovation in today’s global economy.  Understanding the value that of diversity and inclusion is an opportunity for HR to make a measurable impact on the bottom line and it is Kelly’s goal to empower HR leaders to make the changes necessary to meet the needs of a modern workforce. 

    Her experience includes developing strategic Diversity and Inclusion plans for state alliances and comprehensive strategies for small to mid-size companies. As a committed diversity champion, Kelly supports national campaigns through her role as a SHRM Government Advocacy Captain and participates on congressional committees to promote gender equality through initiatives such as the Workplace Flexibility Act.  Kelly is a member of the National Diversity Council and supports the nonprofit Indiana Committee for “2020 Women on Boards”. She serves as the Diversity Director for the Michiana SHRM Chapter Board of Directors and actively speaks at Human Resource professional events on the topic of D&I.
